Summer 2012 Highlights
- Summer 2012 program dates: Wednesday, May 30 – Thursday, August 9. The program will open with a three-day orientation for interns, May 30-June 1. Internship placements begin June 4 and finish August 8. The summer concludes with a closing ceremony on Thursday, August 9. Placement supervisors, CLIP partners, and family members of participants are invited.
- Interns will spend four days each week at their internship placements. On Wednesdays, the entire cohort will meet for professional development seminars dedicated to skills building, peer learning, and conversations and networking opportunities with organization and community leaders across New York City.
- Throughout the summer, interns will participate in a number of supplementary programs including a shabbaton retreat, a Personal Investment Project (interns meet in small groups with a well-respected professional in a field of their choice), an intern/alumni mixer, social programming, and more.
- Placement sites agree to give interns adequate supervision and substantive projects. CLIP provides interns with mentorship and ongoing professional development and leadership opportunities that tie into workplace learning and enhance the program
- Interns receive a $2200 stipend for their successful participation in the program
